Have been using Business edition and find it fast and superb

Only criticism is the ridiculous over sized horrendous Turkey foot on the desktop wallpapers and log in screens,..
Please Please change the design and make it more chic and discreet
The letters sabayon should be half the size they now,..not smacking you in th face like some McDonalds advert

I have used Sabayon in the past and found it to be quite friendly. The installer as mentioned here is different but works well. Stability is what I look for in an OS. I think after one gets it installed and set to their taste I know they will have a stable and reliable OS for their business.

Fabio and his small team are doing something great: They let the average user "wade" into the Gentoo pool without the grueling install and configure process. But my baseline is consistent whether a distro is brand-new or twelve years old. The only difference would be for Alphas, Betas, Release Candidates, etc.

As Thomas pointed out very well here, Portage is NOT for beginners, although it is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Also, this release was a first of a kind for Sabayon, so cut them some slack! Keep in mind that there is really only a very small team of core developers that worked on this, and CONTINUE to work on implementing options based totally on user feedback, as is always the case with Sabayon main, where I constantly see things being put in or taken out after a user asked to have some added functionality. The fact that Sabayon 3.4 is rock solid stable for all my machines yet the single most cutting edge OS on the market today (that im aware of) and 99% of that worked out of the box, is the best testament there could ever be to Fabio and his teams work.

Sounds, that the distro is as buggy as hell. I run Debian and the issues described here sound really awfull to my stability adjusted ear.
